About Lovens

The Lovens mission

At Lovens, we never settle for the way things have always been done. We continuously search for better solutions, with a strong focus on innovation, design and quality down to the smallest detail.
A Lovens is therefore not just an electric cargo bike. It is a cargobike you can rely on, designed and built with craftsmanship, where style, safety and comfort come together. For rides that take you further than you’re used to.
Lovens. We love to go beyond.

The Lovens Test Lab

Lovens is different. You can see it and feel it. For example in our test center in Taiwan, where specialists work who have spent decades perfecting premium e-bikes and cargo bikes.

In the Lovens Test Lab, we don’t test to tick boxes, but to push boundaries. Frame, suspension and steering are tested with loads exceeding 150 kilograms—well above what’s required in everyday family use. This ensures that every Lovens performs exactly as it should, even under extreme conditions.
Curbs, emergency stops and sharp maneuvers are repeated time and again until a Lovens rides the way it’s meant to: agile, stable and, above all, safe.

How we test

Drop and impact tests

During so-called drop and impact tests, the frame is exposed to controlled mechanical shocks to assess safety under sudden forces.

Standard compliance tests

Drop tests in which a Lovens is subjected to extreme loads from a defined height are part of our standard compliance testing.

Fatigue tests

To test the frame and overall quality, we conduct fatigue tests that simulate intensive use. During these tests, individual structural components are subjected to extreme loads.

Testing and documentation

We carry out all applicable European standard tests, supplemented by our own additional tests. This ensures continuous product improvement and the highest possible quality.
