Up to three children can fit in the tray, depending on age and size. The Lovens Explorer can also be expanded with various accessories. For example, you can mount a Maxi-Cosi with the adapter set and store your belongings underneath.

The driving range of the Lovens Explorer depends on many different factors, for example:

• support level;
• Speed;
• Changing gears;
• Type of tires and tire pressure;
• Age and maintenance condition of the battery;
• Route (slopes) and surface (type of road surface);
• Headwind and ambient temperature;
• Weight of the Lovens Explorer, rider and load.

Because of all these factors, it is not possible to determine in advance exactly how far you can drive with the current battery level. In general:

The less force you have to put in to reach a certain speed, the less energy the Lovens Explorer needs and the longer the driving range will be.

The lower you set the assistance level, the greater the driving range will be.

The weight of a Lovens Explorer without load is 55 kg. The weight of the battery is about 3 kg.

Despite the weight, you can easily walk with the cargo bike using the Walk Assist function, a built-in walking aid. With this, the motor gives you a little bit of support while walking, making it easy to walk up a hill or bridge.

Maximum load in the box:

The box of the Lovens Explorer can be loaded up to 100 kg.

Overall weight: The Lovens Explorer is loadable up to 250 kg. This is the total weight including the bicycle.

1. Example maximum load: total 250 kg – rider 100 kg + bike 55 kg = 95 kg in the box.
2. Example with weight on the optional luggage carrier: total 250 kg – (rider 70 kg + bicycle 55 kg + carrier 25 kg) = 100 kg in the box

Legally, an e-bike cannot go faster than 25 km/h. All Lovens e-bikes are tuned for this speed. These regulations are part of the European EN-15194 standard for EPAC (Electrically Power Assisted Cycle).
